540 TV lines provides increased horizontal resolution for even clearer images thanks to Bosch's upgrade of Dinion and FlexiDome
CCTV
Bosch Security Systems has BOOSTED THE horizontal resolution of its fixed, colour CCTV cameras from 480 to 540 TV lines. The improvements have been made to the company's DinionXF, DinionXF day/night and FlexiDomeXT surveillance cameras.
The enhanced cameras principally target professional surveillance applications that require ultra-high quality images for reliable person and object identification under challenging lighting conditions. This increase in resolution now provides particular end user benefits in those projects where 100% accurate character recognition is key - for example, the monitoring of EPoS transactions at cash tills, cash transactions in banks and casinos and CCTV surveillance at airports, ports, at passenger terminals, in city centres and car parks.
The increase in horizontal resolution is a direct result of innovative algorithm developments in Bosch's proprietary DSP technology. A new and advanced algorithm compensates for the loss of resolution that inevitably accompanies the introduction of colour filters. This algorithm enables almost the entire native resolution of a given CCD chip to be realised.
Bosch points out that the Dinion and FlexiDome cameras incorporate advanced video motion detection.
