Contractor retains both its monthly and annual titles, thanks to £140m of work in November

Bovis Lend Lease was the top contractor for the second consecutive month in November, after winning three contracts worth a total of £140m.

The biggest was a £130m stadium and exhibition centre at Kings Waterfront in Liverpool. The scheme also pushed English Partnerships up seven places to become the third biggest client over the past 12 months.

Derbyshire contractor Bowmer & Kirkland took second place in the monthly contracting league, after it won five projects worth £109.5m. These included a £45m contract to build a manufacturing plant for Rolls-Royce in Bristol and a £30m project to build the Sandwell City Academy in West Bromwich. ISG came in third with £71.6m of work.

The annual contracting league remained largely unchanged.
