Contractor resumes usual position as leader of monthly league, pushing Sir Robert McAlpine into second place

Bovis Lend Lease shot back to the top of the monthly contractor’s league in February, winning five projects worth £276m. The biggest was the role of construction manager on a £65m project to build warehouse and back office accommodation for British Gypsum in Leeds.

Sir Robert McAlpine dropped one place to second, winning six projects worth £226m.

Bovis also retained its lead at the top of the annual league. HBG climbed five places in the annual league to seventh, after winning four projects worth £107m, while Amec dropped eight places to 12th.

Among the architects, Foster and Partners was catapulted eight places to sixth, after winning six contracts worth a total of £302m in the 12 months to February.
