Fed up with the humdrum world of work? Looking for excitement and the possibility of winning some hard cash? Well, Building’s new poker tournament is rushing to your rescue. Come and take a chance – and it’s all in aid of charity, so you’ll go home with a warm glow whatever your luck on the night …

Building is calling all risk-takers in the construction industry to join its first poker tournament on Thursday 6 December.

To be in with a chance of winning up to £10,000, join us at 6.30pm at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino in London’s West End, for drinks, canapes and a flutter.

Sixty players will battle it out for the top prize at 10 tables, each with its own dealer. The winner will walk away with £10,000, while second and third prizes will be £3,000 and £2,000 respectively (if 60 players enter).

For first-time players there will be a 30-minute learning session to introduce you to the game.

Tickets for the tournament, sponsored by John Doyle plc, cost £500, including free food and drink.

One-third of the proceeds will go to Build a School, a charity run by teachers in the UK which funds the construction and improvement of schools in developing nations (www.buildaschool.org).

Players who are not already members of the casino should arrive an hour before the event and all attendees should bring their passports, driving licences or other identity cards.
