Le corbusiers sketch

This week’s #buildingdoodle sketch is by Gian Kundi, partner in The Tooley and Foster Partnership, of Le Corbusier’s Chapel at Ronchamp, France. He says: “My visit to Ronchamp to see Le Corbusier’s Chapel was almost entirely hijacked by torrential rain but this did show how efficient the gargoyles worked, throwing water well clear of the building! When the rain did stop, it was clear to me that this was one of Corbusier’s finest examples of sculptural and religious architecture. Although the building is small, it is very complex and powerful - a building I just had to draw to absorb the simple yet complex forms.”
