About 1,800m2 of natural blue/grey slate roofing from Burlington was used on the new Shetland Museum and Archives building.

The covering was specified for its resilience in the exposed climate and to complement the building’s mix of traditional and contemporary styles. Slates were delivered in 18in lengths and random widths and were installed by local contractor DITT Construction.
