Zumtobel’s new Arcos spotlight and wallwasher system provides architects and designers with a complete range of spotlights for specification in museums, art galleries and shops.

Zumtobel worked with David Chipperfield Architects to design the range. As a special design feature, the lamp housing and control gear have been combined. This achieves good thermal conditions (“cool touch” function) which make the spotlights safe to touch even when they are switched on. The spotlights’ construction ensures that no stray light is produced from the lamp.

The spotlight is available in four different sizes, including a wallwasher version. Separation of the light source, reflector and accessory holder makes relamping and replacing reflectors or accessories easier as the company says that no tools are required.

The fittings are available with various low-voltage and high-voltage halogen lamps and high-pressure discharge lamps and can support the DALI control protocol.
