The new Redland ThruVent tile has been developed for high-level roofspace ventilation, mechanical extraction and soil ventilation.
Designed to fit with the company’s profiled concrete tiles on properties with more than two storeys, it is made from the same coloured concrete as the rest of its tiles and so weathers in harmony with the rest of the roof. The tile has a 8,800mm2 ventilation area, which Lafarge says reduces the number needed. It is backed by Redland’s 15-year guarantee, based on the requirements of BS 5534 for the durability of the whole roof and BS 5250 for ventilation.
