Whitbybird's birthday at the Science Museum attracted plenty of high-flyers including Terry Farrell.

A gaggle of the industry's great and good turned up at the Science Museum last night (Tuesday) to celebrate the 21st birthday of engineer Whitbybird.

Guests were greeted at the entrance of the museum's Flight Gallery by joint founder Mark Whitby, who happens to be a big fan of planes, and then escorted to the rather splendid gallery space, complete with old and new flying machines suspended from the ceiling and an impressive array of engines.

Revellers who made the trip included big architectural names such as Terry Farrell and Richard MacCormac, as well as industry big hitters such as Peter Rogers, Stef Stefanou and Andy Sturgess.

The only slight hitch for the night's events was for those guests with weak bladders. The toilets were positioned roughly at the other end of the museum, making a 15 minute round trip for those wishing to relieve themselves.
