Gardiner Security has been recognised by Apollo Fire detectors as its number one customer in Apollo’s celebration of 25 years of business, with a presentation at International Fire Expo to mark the relationship between the manufacturer and distributor.

The Gardiner-Apollo partnership began in 1987 when Gardiner set up a dedicated Fire division and added a full range of fire products to its portfolio.

“Having established themselves as the UK’s leader in fire detection, Apollo was an obvious choice to be part of Gardiner’s portfolio,” said Gardiner Fire Division product manager Peter Holmes. “Over the years the partnership has grown stronger by mutual trust in the integrity of both companies, one of the keys to our success.

Just as important, with an ever-demanding industry, Apollo has invested heavily in development, innovation and advanced state of the art technology, keeping at the forefront of the fire detection market.”

• The Gardiner Group has united Paxton Access and Milestone Systems in the creation of a new system integrating the Paxton Net2 access control product with Milestone IP video surveillance software. Gardiner says that following keen interest from partners and end customers in a pilot system shown at IFSEC, the solution will go on general distribution as soon as possible.

Users will be able to view the time and location-linked video of those gaining access directly from the access control system’s event log, providing immediate visuals of those entering the property and evidence for subsequent resolution of incidents.

In the integrated solution, Paxton Net2 events that have been associated with an IP camera show an additional icon beside the event.
