11:50AM Firm to QS on £47m refurb scheme following Docklands win

Gardiner & Theobald is providing QSing on the £47m extension of two Marks & Spencer stores in Chestnut and London Colney. The two 40-week projects will run concurrently.

The “redevelopment and re-fit” contract has been awarded to a joint venture between Galliford Try and Emer Construction.

The stores will stay open throughout the works, which include construction of two 20,000 sq ft extensions and complete store remodelling.

G&T recently won a deal to provide post-contract QSing on the construction of a new station for London’s Docklands Light Railway. Langdon Park station will be located between Poplar and Stratford.
