Industrial developer Gazeley has begun construction on two eco-friendly speculative warehouse units totalling 42,045m2 at its Magna Park development in the West Midlands with joint venture developer MetLife.

Environmental additions to the project include a solar thermal hot water module and a roof water collection and recycling system. Materials used in the construction process include marmoleum in place of vinyl, organic paint and timber from sustainable sources.

The QS on the project is WH Stephens and the project manager is Davis Langdon.
