Manchester council has granted planning permission for this £220m scheme to regenerate a 1.6 ha former car park next to Piccadilly station.

The redevelopment will include a hotel, 228 flats, shops and 400 car parking spaces. The scheme will also involve new public squares, pedestrian routes and a bridge to the station.
