For security installers looking to develop their business into commercial and residential networking, Gardiner Security has teamed up with Connectix to launch a series of one-day training courses – none of which require previous knowledge of the subjects involved.
The three topics covered are Structured Cabling Installation, Network Testing and Troubleshooting, and Fibre Optic Termination. Each course has been designed to give delegates the confidence to install and test systems correctly, mixing comprehensive details on topologies, techniques and industry standards with hands-on experience.
Organised by Gardiner Security’s Integrated systems Division, the three one-day courses are made up of the following modules:

- Fibre optic cables – bandwidths, specifications and constructions
- Fibre optic connectors
- Practical terminations using the Lightcrimps+ system
- Fibre optic test equipment, power meters and light sources
- Health and safety
