Glasgow Housing Association has begun its recruitment drive by advertising for three housing directors.
The association is looking for a director of development and regeneration (£80,000 salary), director of policy, planning and performance (£75,000) and a director of organisational development (£75,000).

GHA has enlisted the help of headhunters to help find the right people for the job. A spokesman said: “The fact that this is a large housing association means it will attract some of the best people in the housing world.”

The association is also in the process of putting together the local tenant-managed housing organisations that will run under the banner of GHA. In total there will be 69 local housing organisations and committees along with nine tenant-managed cooperative committees.

The association is at present trying to secure private finance following the historic vote that enabled it to take control of the city’s 82,000 homes.

GHA is seeking either one main funder or several lead funders.

It confirmed that several lenders have expressed interest.
