Construction of the RMJM-designed Capital Gate building has reached level eight of its 35 storeys

The tower, which is seeking the title of the world’s most inclined building from the Guinness Book of Records, uses a structural diagrid to achieve its unique slanted shape – similar to the system used for 30 St Mary Axe, London, which earned the nickname of the Gherkin because of its distinctive curved form. RMJM is also responsible for the building services design of the Abu Dhabi development.
