Prime Minister visits up-and-coming electricians at stadium construction site

Gordon Brown took the opportunity to meet two young T Clarke apprentices during his recent visit to the Olympic Stadium construction site.

Hayley Phippen, a Stage 3 apprentice, and Max Warnock, who is currently at Stage 4, are both working on the stadium site.

T Clarke was awarded a major contract to undertake the electrical installation within the main stadium at the Olympic park, which will be the centrepiece for the London 2012 games.

The team has recently commenced on-site activities and, over the coming months, its directly employed labour force will be increased and complemented by further electrical apprentices.

T Clarke, which is now celebrating its 120th year of electrical contracting, is the largest employer of directly employed JTL contracting apprentices in London and has always shown a dedication to the training of young people.
