THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT HAS appointed MessageLabs (author of SMT’s regular VirusEye column in ‘Secure IT’) to further protect itself against the threat of destructive mass-mailing viruses.
Departments throughout Westminster – including the Treasury, the Prime Minister’s Office, the Department of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Defence – will now be protected by a new line of defence (the SkyScan system) against the growing dangers posed by popular viruses such as Lovebug and SirCam.
