Avon Barrier Company Ltd is expanding its business into the adjoining premises at its Bristol headquarters, which will provide almost double the existing space.

The increase in space will allow room for a section dedicated to the company's road blockers, barriers and bollards capable of protecting premises and sensitive sites against a determined terrorist vehicle attack.

The move follows a 60 per cent growth in the company's sales since 2003, which has come both in its traditional market of parking access controls and the fast developing market for higher security products.

Due to the rising demand for these higher-end products, the company anticipates a further 30 per cent growth in 2006.
