Haden Young is suing Bovis Lend Lease claiming it was underpaid for work on BBC offices in White City, London.
Haden Young has issued a writ claiming £6.5 million for unpaid work and an additional £1.2 million for interest on the amount due. The firm claims that Bovis owed £26.8 million for m&e work on the project but paid only £20.3 million.
Haden Young undertook the work on the basis of letters of intent. These did not form an official subcontract but stated that in the absence of a binding contract the firm would be paid.
