The first half of a new build programme at University College London has been completed.
The £19m New Engineering Building is a ten-storey extension to an existing building in Bloomsbury, central London.
The project team on the 9,156m2 block, which houses four departments for postgraduate research, included QS Gleeds and project manager Mace.
The project was designed by architect Grimshaw, which is also working on a new Institute of Cancer studies for UCL, which is on site and due for completion in autumn 2006.
