Hall is not the only conkerer

I have to take Social Animal to task. In the last paragraph of the item about the World Conker Championships (26 September, page 23), you state that you believe Richard Hall is the only housing figure involved in this prestigious tournament. Not so.

Last year, Longhurst Group was represented by two senior staff: Mike Hardy, the managing director of Longhurst Housing Association, and Steve Watson from our sister company East Northamptonshire Housing.

If you had blinked you might have missed them – because they were both knocked out in the first round – but they are off to do battle again this year.
