I agree with Jeremy Hardy that any comparison between the Holocaust and the situation in the Middle East is totally unacceptable (“Fight oppression, but leave the Nazis out of it”, 7 May, page 21).

However, I challenge his comments about “brutal occupation”.

Also, if he is calling the Palestinians “oppressed”, the best way to stop them becoming the oppressor is for steps to be taken to reverse the hatred of both Israel and Jews, as taught in Palestinian schools.
