The Department of Health is re-tendering facilities management across its UK property portfolio, and may ask the service provider to act as a prime contractor.
Tender documents say the portfolio includes various buildings across London and one in Lancashire.

Services required include cleaning, security, reception, mailroom, ground and building maintenance and catering. The contract is for five-years, and may be extended by another two.

The tender document says the department 'may alter this portfolio throughout the life of the contract to reflect the department's changing needs and associated bodies plus other government departments'.

Invitations to tender will be despatched to between five and eight service providers on 11 November.
