Hegla storage solutions

Hegla’s range of Concertina KPL storage systems can cope with glass widths from 1200 to 6000mm. The racking systems are available as manual push, hand cranked, and semi-automatic electrical remote or fully automatic operation.

The photograph (below) shows a 3 x 2m pack system that has 9 double and 13 single pack storage capacities, total 31 packs with 22 possible glass types in ca 9m.

The range of products is constantly increasing and with space at a premium these systems offer easy access to many glass types reducing damage caused by double handling.

The SCH range of pull out racking systems are in standard format or to suit customer specific requirements. The picture shows 18 positions of end cap pull out storage with upper mezzanine capacity of a further 18. These mezzanine systems have safety barriers, adjustable poles between end caps and either ladder or stairs to the upper level. Pull out systems for off cuts or single pattern sheets in portrait or landscape in various storage depths are also available.

Hegla Machinery UK offers two types of harp racks for use within soft coat, toughened or float applications. The photograph (above left) shows harp racks used at the breakout table in a factory where only harp racks are used. Two individual patents ensure the system is soft coat friendly. The F50-16 racks can handle glass sizes from 180 x 350mm to 1754 x 2355mm and a safety bar is fitted to protect the back of the glass.
