The distributor of branded building products, Heywood Williams Group PLC, has signed an acquisition agreement to buy the Carlisle Brass Group.
The Carlisle Brass Group, the designer and distributor of architectural hardware, includes the brands Carlisle Brass, Eurospec, Eurolite, Sterling Hardware, Finger Tip Design, de’Leau and Ludlow Foundries. The business has 130 employees and operates from centres in Carlisle, Blackburn and Preston.
Robin Graham, founder and current Group Managing Director, will remain as Chairman. He will work closely with his existing management team which includes Steve Tinsley, Mark Wallis, Richard Staples, Mark Naylor and Ian Schofield. A new Group Managing Director, Jason Anderson, has also been appointed. Jason has worked for Heywood Williams for 10 years and held senior management positions within the hardware division.

The acquisition of the Carlisle Brass Group brands and product range means an addition of architectural hardware products for internal use, for example door handles, hinges, locks, cabinet hardware, bathroom accessories and lighting fittings. These products will complement Heywood Williams existing external door and window hardware range.
