George Ashby, 92, who has lived on this Northampton estate since 1974, watches the refurbishment of two tower blocks by Leicester Housing Association. The landlord is spending £7.9m on the 11-storey blocks, and Ashby and his neighbours will be able to move back in when work is finished in October 2005.
