Hills Electrical & Mechanical has won a £1.5 million contract for the installation of building services in a new residential development at Knotty Ash, Liverpool. The initiative is a partnership between Housing 21, which specialises in developments for older people, and Liverpool Housing Action Trust.
The project involves the refurbishment of two ten-storey blocks of 122 flats and the construction of a new low-rise block of 42 flats alongside.
The main contractor for the scheme is MJ Gleeson; local architect Shed KM designed the new, low-rise block. Work on the scheme is due for completion in 2005.
