A new generation of automatic glass door hinges by Italian engineering specialist Metalglas now incorporates spring mechanisms in the body of the hinges, overcoming the need for inset floor springs, according to exclusive UK distributor Häfele.

This means the frameless glass access door systems so often used in new build projects to maximise internal light are now viable for residential applications and can be installed at any phase – including retrofitting.
