Marketing agency Phoenix is to launch a new sales system after successful trials with a leading homebuilder.
Eros (enquiries, reservations, options, and upgrades system) is an entry-level program that replicates the paperwork generated by sales offices and feeds it onto the homebuilders' central database.

Charles Smith, head of customer and marketing information at Phoenix, says the system improves information flows and is ideal for homebuilders' who aren't ready for the expense of a full-blown system.

He claims that the initial cost to homebuilders is £15 000-16 000 plus a yearly subscription fee. The cut-down system neither requires a dedicated line or a high level of IT, according to Smith.

Sales managers send the information as an email attachment to head office where it is added to the company database.

"The beauty of Eros is that whatever the paper base is the system will replicate it therefore there isn't much training required," says Smith. Phoenix's partner in the venture, Communicens, will carry out maintenance, future upgrades and training.
