Honeywell has pulled together all of its recently acquired CCTV companies under the single name of Honeywell Security.
The move sees the Honeywell brand added to all product ranges produced by surveillance specialists Video Controls Limited (VCL), Ademco Video, Ultrak and also Silent Witness.

All of the companies listed became part of the multi-billion dollar organisation in 1999 along with other leading security companies involved in areas including access control and intruder detection. For its part, Honeywell is a global supplier to industries including aerospace, electronics, building control, speciality chemicals and fibres. It’s also one of the 30 stocks that make up the Dow Jones Industrial Average, and a component of the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index.

The Honeywell family saw its beginnings when VCL, one of the original pioneers of the dome camera, became part of the Ademco Group. VCL was acquired by Honeywell, to be joined recently by Ultrak and then Silent Witness.

UK headquarters for the company remain in Runcorn.
