Project manager Hornagold & Hills is heading a team working on plans for an extensive £25m refurbishment of a historic building in Nottingham.

The firm is project director on the upgrade of the Wollaton Hall and Park, a Grade I listed building designed by Robert Smythson, for client Nottingham City Council. The building currently houses a natural history museum.

The scheme has just been awarded Stage 2 Heritage Lottery Funding that provides £4.5m of the £7.5m budget for phase one of the revamp.

The first phase will start in October and includes the repair of the external fabric of the hall.

The project team also includes QS William G Dick Partnership and conservation architect Purcell Miller Tritton.
