House of York: If this redevelopment of a riverside site in York is given the go-ahead, the city will get 720 homes, a leisure centre, nature reserve and shops. The £100m project will go before a planning committee in autumn.
Roman remains and a medieval churchyard have been unearthed at the riverside, so the percentage of affordable housing will not be decided until the cost of dealing with these has been calculated.
Builders Crosby Homes, Land Securities and Evans of Leeds will work on the project with architect John Thompson and Partners.
