John McKenzie, Wimpey Homes
The judges were impressed with the cleanliness of McKenzie’s site of 109 houses in Dundee for which he won internal and external health and safety awards. McKenzie is part of Wimpey’s internal committee for implementing the CDM regulations.
Paul Smith, Wimpey Homes
Smith turned allotments in Hucknall near Nottingham into 29 new homes in the face of local opposition and a critical BBC documentary Losing the plot. Smith won over the locals after numerous personal visits and then implemented Wimpey’s new IT system for managing building materials on site.
