The National Security Inspectorate (NSI) has announced that 50 companies have attained approval to its ICON scheme, designed for smaller and newer installers of electronic systems.
Premier Security Systems of Kingsteignton was accepted as the 50th approved ICON installer on 1 November 2002 for the installation of intruder alarms.
To achieve such recognition, companies must conform (on an ongoing basis) to meeting appropriate British Standards and Codes of Practice for both technical and management criteria.
In addition, ICON approval meets the requirements of the police and the insurance industry, allowing customers of the approved installation company to receive a prioritised form of police response for monitored security systems in addition to eligibility for special insurance discounts.
