The security exhibition, IFSEC, held for the 29th year in succession, was attended by 26,000 people with 555 companies across the global security industry showcasing new products and services.
The number of companies exhibiting at the show grew by 11% on the previous year, and organisers CMP Information say onsite rebookings for next year's show look healthy, indicating a broad vote of confidence from exhibitors.
IFSEC was accompanied by the ACPO exhibition this year, showing the latest in policing technologies and highlighting the closer relationship between police and security companies.
At the BSIA-backed IFSEC Security Industry Awards, Pyronix collected the top award for its Veritec P2 Sequential Confirmation Detector, designed to help UK installers comply with ACPO security systems policy. Five other companies, AnnexTek, BT RedCARE, Dedicated Micros, Myriad Technologies and Vista, also won awards for security innovations.
