At the ECA Central South regional conference, president Allan Littler awarded ECA Local Service Awards to Trevor Harrington (RH Foster, Basingstoke), Barbie McSean (Scomac Services, Aldershot) and Stephen Lee (Lowe and Oliver, Oxford).

Elecsa is extending its price promise campaign. Contractors that transfer from another Part P scheme can fix their annual assessment fee at £360 + VAT until 2011.

Ian Livsey, currently chief executive of the Gangmasters Licensing Authority, has been appointed as the new chair of SummitSkills. He begins his term on 1 January 2009.
