In partitioning paradise: Avanti opens partitioning showroom by Victoria station

Avanti Systems, one of the UK’s largest independent producers of office partitioning systems, has opened a new central London showroom, close to Victoria station. The newly refurbished shop-fronted facility showcases a selection of Avanti’s latest product ranges to provide a functional and inspiring interior for the showroom.

The aptly named ‘Workspace Victoria’ has been created as a one-stop shop for customers. Architects, designers, contractors and other building professionals can come along and view Avanti’s cutting-edge product ranges firsthand. They can also relax in the showroom’s spacious and functional meeting room, created using Avanti’s products, and discuss project requirements, performance criteria and other details with their dealer manager.

The showroom is the first of its kind for Avanti. Managing Director Barry Bates comments, ‘The new showroom will play a key role in raising Avanti’s profile and will be instrumental to our future growth and entry into the specification market.’

Interior design for the showrom comes in the guises of clean glass walls and structures, splashes of vibrant colour through the furniture and some impactful examples of manifestation. Among the innovative product solutions on display are Avanti’s award winning Solare frameless glazed partitioning. This was the first frameless glazed partitioning system invented by Avanti and awarded Millennium Product Status by the British Design Council. This is combined with Avanti’s Solare Eclipse frameless sliding doors. Stainless steel components suspend these doors and provide a smooth gliding action; they also save space eliminating the need for traditional swing doors.

The most recent from Avanti’s product portfolio is Elite, a single point glazing system for creating freestanding square or circular offices made entirely from glass. This interior frameless glazing system provides designers with huge scope to create functional spaces anywhere within an interior layout while maintaining a light, open and modern working environment.

Processing potential

The Avanti showroom also showcases the processing potential of North London based Toughglaze and its recent acquisition, Brighton based specialist processor Ozone.

The Avanti showroom features Toughglaze laminates with Trosifol decorative interlayers and some of Ozone’s patented glass designs, some of which are achieved by slumping small shapes in the glass.

The preparation of the showroom itself was something of a group effort, being built by fellow Linkspan Group company Spaceworks.
