Acton Housing Association’s tenancy and estate management service has been rated “fair” by Audit Commission inspectors.
The commission gave the service one star out of three with promising “prospects to improve” in a report on the latest inspections, published on Tuesday.
“Although the association has improved its service to customers since the last inspection, it was considered that more improvements are needed before the service is rated as good,” the report said.
The association manages more than 7000 homes in west and central London.
Moat Housing Group offers a “good” service to buyers using its low-cost homeownership scheme, but services for tenants who rent homes are only “fair”, the commission said.
It gave the low-cost homeownership service two stars, and the rented service one star.
Moat manages 7600 rented homes and 5000 homes under other forms of ownership.
Torbay council’s homelessness and housing service was rated “fair” and given one star.
North Devon Homes’ management and maintenance services are “good” and “likely to improve”. North Devon, which manages 3099 homes, got two stars.
Bnai Brith Housing Association was given two stars for its “good” services.
