The Quality Proven Alarm Association has been launched with its first meeting in Manchester.
Organiser James Torrance explained: "The QPAA has the purpose of giving a voice to working engineers and to create a database of them to give the industry and employers a point of reference for the qualified engineer who has clearance to work within the industry either from a chief constable or the Criminal Records Bureau."
