And this year's winner is.... TME Design
The new £65 million British Embassy in Moscow is the largest and most sophisticated in the Foreign and Commonwealth Estate.

The building is mixed use, including around 9000 m2 of offices, 40 apartments, workshops, conference facilities, medical centre, undercover parking and a swimming pool.

TME used its experience of other embassy projects together with cold climate design from Canada to overcome challenges such as a -30°C winter design temperature; 30°C and 50% relative humidity summer design condition; high security brief; 50% standby power with four weeks' oil storage and the facility for a second generator to provide 100% standby.

Delivered a prestigious project in one of the world's most difficult construction environments

And the runners up....
Buro Happold
The harsh desert climate of Riyadh posed a real challenge to designers working on the Al Faislalia Centre. Conflicting demand for high transparency of the 267 m office tower, and high energy conservation resulted in the adoption of extensive passive energy control methods.

Energistics Engineering Services
The consultancy has worked all over the world, on projects such as the new parliament building in Astana, Kazakhstan and the Royal palace in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Judges commented that Energistics was "taking British engineering to projects in the most challenging parts of the world".
