Council to take office in Manchester’s Spinningfields district

The General Medical Council (GMC) will soon have new offices and a state-of-the-art clinical assessment centre in Manchester, thanks to the continuing partnership between m&e provider Inviron and specialist fit-out contractor Overbury.

As part of this project, Inviron will undertake a fast-track mechanical and electrical project at 3 Hardman Street, Spinningfields, in Manchester’s business district.

Inviron will install new lighting, power, fire alarm, heating, ventilation and a building management system across two floors, covering 60,000sq ft of office space. This will create open plan areas, a data centre and a clinical assessment centre by mid December.

Earlier this year, Inviron and Overbury worked together at the same building, undertaking a similar project at Hardman Street for international law firm Pinsent Masons.

Jason Hanson, operations manager of Inviron’s Building Systems North West business, said: “This project will further strengthen our relationship with Overbury. Also, as we have previously worked at this building, we are familiar with the site and its layout and shall ensure minimal disruption to the companies and staff based there.”

Paul Brown, director of Overbury’s Northern Region, said: “We were delighted to be awarded the General Medical Council project, which maintains our continued success at Spinningfields over the past three years.”
