rmed with a plastic apron, gloves and a litter picker, Kyle Dunkley, 13, braved the autumn weather last Saturday to help staff, residents and neighbourhood wardens of Whitefriars Housing Group wage war on litter and flytipping.

More than 30 children from the YMCA youth group helped fill 15 skips, which lined Hermes Crescent in Henley Green, Coventry. The event, organised and funded by Whitefriars, New Deal for Communities and Area Co-ordination, saw the litter busters receive a McDonald’s meal for their efforts.
