John Shreeves & Partners is working as QS and project manager on this nine-storey office development (pictured) in front of Victoria station in central London.
Designed by architect Sheppard Robson for the Co-operative Insurance Society (CIS), the scheme received planning permission earlier this month. It will incorporate 9,820m2² of office accommodation at basement, lower ground and levels, plus eight storeys above, adjoining the Apollo Theatre. Also contained in the building will be 1,640m2² of retail space, at street and lower ground floor levels. The upper floors of the development are set back to allow room for a floating canopy, which has already acquired the nickname “the bonnet”.
