Kodit Database, the auditing and asset tagging solutions provider, has completed a project for the Manchester-based Co-operative Retail Group which involved the auditing and 'mop up' tagging of over 5,000 IT hardware items situated at sites spanning the UK, and then 'databasing' the complete set of results.
Commenting on the project, host Specialist Computer Centres' account manager Steve Crompton said: "The database information provided by Kodit will be an invaluable aid to our 'break-to-fix' guarantee periods and general Help Desk response."
Kodit numbers blue chip clients in the insurance and banking sectors among its customer base, which also takes in health authorities, utility companies and educational organisations.
Major blue chip customers include Her Majesty's Customs and Excise Department, ICI, the Ministry of Defence, the Ford Motor Company and Apple Computers.
