Kawneer has launched a dry jointed system for multiple façade applications, the AA100 curtain wall as well as the AA201, a Unitised Curtain walling system.
Available in both zone and mullion drained options, the AA100 system provides a dry jointed façade solution that does not need on-site sealants to ensure system performance and, as a direct result, installation is not dictated by weather conditions.
Certified to the Standard for Curtain Walling Sequence B and in accordance with the recommended methods of the Centre for Window and Cladding Technology (CWCT), Kawneer guarantees effective weathering performance in the most stringent conditions, whilst maintaining aesthetics through slim sightlines.
‘By offering a choice of construction methods, including zone-drainage, mullion drainage, a fire rated solution and structural silicone glazing, the new AA100 series enables architects, assisted by Kawneer, to identify the optimum curtain walling solutions for a building’s specific requirements’ says Kawneer Product Marketing Manager, Tony Corcoran.
Suitable for most building applications, Kawneer’s AA201 has been tested and certified in accordance with the relevant BS EN and CWCT Curtain Wall Standards. It has been seismic tested in the USA and meets the requirements of Parts L and J of the Building Regulations.
Maria Morgan, Senior Project Manager at Kawneer commented, ‘Unitised Curtain Walling can deliver significant cost and quality benefits on any size of building, be it a 30 storey office tower or a two storey school or hospital building’.
