Clients in Kent have launched a Construction Skills Strategy to provide more work experience for construction trainees.

Clients will require that contractors provide placements to young people who are already at construction colleges as part of the contract. Kent County Council, Kent and Medway Learning & Skills Council and CITB-ConstructionSkills developed the scheme. Clients who have signed up to it include Kent County Council, Dover District Council, Moat Housing Association and Medway Housing Society.
