Laing Homes is set to build the first British houses to use the complete Jamera system of thin-joint solid walls plus reinforced aircrete floor and roof elements being marketed by Celcon.
Three demonstration houses will be built by Laing Partnership Housing, the group's social housing arm, for the Bethnal Green and Victoria Park Housing Association.

Celcon is investing £25m in a production plant in Yorkshire to supply developers with the Jamera system and it claims to be working with several other major homebuilders.

Persimmon Homes has already built a trial home using Jamera although it only used the reinforced aircrete elements for the floors, not the roof.
