A relatively young company, founded in 1976 as structural engineers, Buro Happold has grown substantially over the past 25 years and is now a major multidisciplinary engineering consultancy.
The company's main UK office is in Bath and the environmental and building services groups represent approximately 40% of the practice's turnover, with 94 building services staff being employed in its UK offices.
The company's growth has risen sharply over the past five years and recent projects include The Lowry in Salford, NatWest Media Centre at Lord's cricket ground, London and the Millennium Dome, which the Judges singled out as "an exemplar".
