where is he now?

Jonathan Price
1999's Apprentice of the Year, Jonathan Price from South Alkham in Dover, found that winning the title really boosted his confidence.

Jonathan, who works with his father in the family business, says, "Although I didn't get promoted I did get a pay rise in recognition of my hard work."

For Jonathan, an only child, the most important aspect of winning the prestigious award was the opportunity it gave him to make his parents proud. However, an added bonus was that the local publicity surrounding the award generated a flurry of enquiries and several new contracts for his firm, Simon Price & Co.

It's a nail-biting time for Jonathan as he awaits the results of his City & Guilds 236, Part 2 (NVQ 3). He says, "It felt fantastic to win the award last year. Not only was it a real achievement for me, but it's also a reflection on the quality of training I received from my tutor at South Kent college and, of course, my dad."
